ABOUT THE KAVANAGHS

The Kavanaghs are a retro power pop band from Rosario, Argentina.  
 The groups style is unique among Argentinean bands as their music is a wonderful mix of retro, 60's pop influences. In their songs you can hear echoes and harmonies of the Beatles,The Beach Boys, Badfinger , The Zombies and The Raspberries.   These influences are not arbitrary or chosen as a pose, but reflections of the music the group grew up with.

Tiago Galindez, the composer, bass player and leader of the band, is a collector and connoisseur of the finest 60's pop music, and the band reflects his musical tastes.

The Kavanaghs first release took place as it should have in the UK, when the label Matchbox Recordings included their song "All The Time" in the Big Indie Comeback Vol.2 compilation. The fresh song with a catchy melody gained some attention.

After playing the Cavern and a number of other clubs in Liverpool     ( The birth place of the  Beatles) during Beatles week in 2009, The group  returned to Argentina.  In 2010 the group started work on their second CD "Love Conquers Pain" and played a number of dates in the United States including the International Pop Over- Throw Festival (or IPO as it has affectionately become known).  The IPO is a music festival which has been held for the past thirteen years and features POP Groups from around the world.

The group is in the process of mixing their new CD before having it mastered.  Love Conquers Pain will be released later this year.  Keep on checking the news section below for updates  and the date that the CD will be released.  .

The Kavanaghs are: Alejandro Pin/vocals, guitars Diego Vazquez/guitars and backing vocals Tiago Galindez/vocals, bass, guitars, piano, ukelele  and producer Sebastian Cairo/drums, percussion and backing vocals.
